What is the meaning of life? Does God Exist? Are we alone in the Universe? Where do we came from? What is happiness?

Those are arguably the hardest questions mankind has ever faced. Some say that we will never be able to answer them. Well, we want to give it a shot anyway. Perhaps if we think together we can pave new paths.

That is what Existential Questions is all about. A community website where anyone can join and share his own theories and ideas. Users just need to create an account an within minutes they will be able to write and publish their own articles. Members are also able to comment on the ideas of others, and to rate them.

If you want to join the community and share your own ideas, below you will find a step by step guide for that purpose.

How To Register

First of all you will need to register an account on the Existential Question. Don’t worry, it is free and easy to create your account. Just click on the “register” link that you find on the navigation menu, as shown on the image below.

Once you click there you will be presented with a screen equal to the image below.

There you just need to put your desired user name and an email address. Notice that this must be a valid email address because we will send your password there.

How To Write an Article

Once you have your user name and password at hands, you can start publishing your articles. First of all click on the “login” link that you will find on the navigation menu.

You will be presented with the following page:

On that page you just need to insert the user and password. You can also tick the “Remember Me” item to be able to access the control panel directly without having to type your user and password on the next time.

Once logged in, you will be presented with the Dashboard, as illustrated on the image below:

In order to start writing your article you can click on “Write” on the top left navigation menu (1), or on the “Write a New Post” button (2), they perform the function. On the top right corner you will also be able to click on “Profile” (3) to add more information about yourself.

Once you click on “Write”, you will be redirected to the text editor, which looks like this:

You will have a place to type the title of your article (1), a place to type the body of the article (2), and all the tools necessary to style your text, including the possibility to add an image (by clicking on “Add media”).

Right below the text editor you will find a section to add tags (1) and to specify the category of your post (2), as the image above illustrates. Tags are nothing more than keywords that describe the content of your article, and the category is overall subject of the article.

On the right side of the text editor, as the image above shows, you will find a button to “Save” your article (1), which will store it on the database for future uses. You also have a button to “Preview” that article (2), which will show you how it will look on the website itself. Finally, there is a “Publish” button (3) which will publish the article and put it live on the website. Obviously just publish the article if you are sure it is ready to go.

Finally, after you publish your posts you might want to modify them (i.e. to update them or to fix any mistakes). You can do that by clicking on “Manage” (1) on the Dashboard, as the image below illustrates.

That tab will present all the posts published on the site, and you will be able to click on the ones that you wrote to edit them (2).

Article Guidelines

Please follow the guidelines below when writing your article (they are pretty much common sense).

  • Your article must try to answer one of the questions on our “Categories.” Currently they are:
    • Are We Alone In The Universe?
    • Does God Exist?
    • What Is Happiness?
    • Where Do We Come From?
  • If you want to cover a new topic and therefore to suggest a new category, you can do that via the Contact form.
  • You must be the author of the article, or have permission from the copyright owner to post it online
  • You may quote parts from other articles or books
  • You may republish your own articles here (i.e. articles that had been previously published in your book or blog)
  • Your may include a small bio (up to 30 words) of yourself at the end of the article.
  • Links to other websites will be no-followed to avoid spammers writing articles just to receive a backlink
